A New Year’s Prayer
Bless this year, oh Lord, we pray,
Guide our steps both night and day.
Give us wisdom and insight
To select the path that’s right.
Let all failures of last year
and all hurts, Lord, disappear.
May they stepping stones become,
Making us more wise and strong.
Bless this year, and when it’s through,
May we be more, Lord, like you.
